Team Saskatchewan has low start to the National Women’s Under-18 Championship

Team Saskatchewan is back at the National Women’s Under-18 Championship, hosted by Football Canada from July 21-29, in Ottawa. Last year, Saskatchewan finished second overall in Regina’s tournament.

The first game took place July 23, against Saskatchewan’s neighbouring province, Alberta. Team Saskatchewan experienced a loss 48-6, but can redeem themselves in semi-finals July 26, against Quebec.

Finals are set for July 29 and the semi-final results will determine which provinces will have a chance to play for a medal.

Team Saskatchewan dominates at NAIG 2023 and is named champions

After competing in 14 different sports, from July 15-23, Team Sask claimed a total of 175 medals during their time at the North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) in Nova Scotia.
