Canada prepares for Rugby World Cup quarterfinals

Regina’s Gabrielle Senft and Team Canada wrapped pool play 3-0 after a 40–19 victory over Scotland.

The Canadian’s will take on seventh in the world, Australia in quarterfinal action on Sept. 13.

Five Sask. water polo athletes wrap 2025 15U Pan American Championships 

After mixed results from the men’s and women’s water polo teams, Canada wrapped their time at the 2025 15U Pan American Championships in Bauru, Brazil.

Estevan’s Jennika Linthicum alongside Regina’s Dylan Martens, Clara Milleker Shyiak and Alexis Rotheisler joined Canada’s women’s team in their 3-3 performance.

While Regina’s Sebastian Reyna and the men’s squad mirrored with the same 3-3 results.

Connell, Ramsay named to Racquetball National Elite Team

Racquetball Canada released this season’s roster for the women’s and men’s National Elite Team, which included Saskatoon’s Danielle Ramsay and Lee Connell, who will represent the country with their respective team.

Derksen receives the Fran Todd All Heart Scholarship

Dylan Derksen, of Hague, was recognized alongside nine others with the Fran Todd All Heart Scholarship for Canadian student-athletes who work to share the values of curling.

Curling Canada awarded 20 total youth athletes with a $2,500 scholarship to honour their achievements both on the ice and in their communities.

Johnson prepares to attend 2025 Senior World Championships

Wrestling Canada Lutte announced Saskatoon’s Andrew Johnson as part of Canada’s team set to represent the country from Sept. 13-21 at the 2025 Senior World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia.

Johnson will compete in the 92-kilogram weight class.
