Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan expands partnership with Craven SPORT Services, Ignite Athletics and Level 10 Fitness to create CSCS Campuses

March 19, 2024

Regina (March 19, 2024) — Beginning April 1, Saskatchewan’s high-performance athletes will have additional support and services available as they pursue their goals of competing for Canada on the international sport stage.

This comes as a result of Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan (CSCS) expanding on their partnership with current GymFit members Craven SPORT Services, Ignite Athletics and Level 10 Fitness to each become a CSCS Campus.

“Canadian Sport Centre Saskatchewan aims to provide our Saskatchewan-based, high-performance athletes with access to consistent, high-quality and inclusive daily training environments in their pursuit of excellence and we believe it contributes to Canada becoming a world leader at the Olympic and Paralympic Games,” said Kia Schollar, CSCS Excellence in Sport Lead. “The CSCS Campus partnerships are one way that we can provide that support with our decentralized model.”

For years, CSCS has partnered with local facilities in Saskatchewan, creating GymFit members, which offer athletes on the Olympic and Paralympic track access to the facilities to train at. Last year, GymFit members who had been active for more than 12 months, were asked to submit an expression of interest and application form to become a CSCS Campus. Craven SPORT Services, Ignite Athletics and Level 10 Fitness were the successful applicants.

By becoming a CSCS Campus, these three facilities are building on their initial GymFit partnership and will now offer more holistic support of the athletes. That will include specific training times that athletes from multiple sports can train together, integrated support team programming such as mental training, nutrition services and more so that athletes can be their best on and off the field of play.

“CSCS recognizes that we have exceptional facilities and people working with our CSCS athletes. Our goal in working with the campuses is to streamline the system, create more access for athletes and do our best to maximize services so that the athletes can achieve their goals and make their dreams a reality,” said Schollar.

Hear from the CSCS Campuses:

“Craven SPORT Services has been built with an integrated support team philosophy as a driving principle, and we wanted to provide CSCS Campus athletes with the opportunity to access this type of environment to support their health, development and performance. We look forward to working with each athlete individually and helping them maximize their training opportunities while in Saskatchewan, as well as provide a facility to bring together high-performance athletes from various sports to train together and work collectively towards their individual goals.” – Bruce Craven, Partner, Craven SPORT Services

“Ignite Athletics Inc. can assist CSCS athletes by providing a holistic approach to their development, which encompasses mindset, movement, strength, nutrition and recovery. Our diverse team of coaches brings a wealth of experience from various sports backgrounds, offering a unique perspective and expertise that complements the technical training athletes receive. Through our positive and holistic approach, we aim to foster an environment where athletes can thrive, not only in their sport but in all aspects of their lives.” – Joel Lipinski, Co-owner, Ignite Athletics Inc.

“A primary goal and pillar core value of Level 10 Fitness has always been to be a living, breathing example of the Long Term Development Model. We have always been grateful to service athletes from the grassroots to the professional levels. Becoming a CSCS Campus solidifies and formalizes our role with national and international calibre Saskatchewan athletes as they strive to be the best version of themselves.” – Dan Farthing, Owner, Level 10 Fitness
